Pequot Lakes Police Dept. <br />Report to the City Council <br />May 27, 2009 <br />So far for the month of May the Department has logged more than 588 individual ICRs. <br />Current Activities: <br />The Reserves, Part time and Full time Officers conducted more than 507 individual security checks of <br />businesses and homes throughout the month, with only 1 open door found at area businesses. <br />Officer Gartner and K9 Shadow put on a presentation at a local daycare on May 14tH <br />Training: <br />Apr 30th _ <br />May 1St: <br />May 18th: <br />`.- May 27: <br />Officer Petersen attended DWI — Vehicle Homicide investigation training. <br />All Fulltime, Part-time and Reserve Officers had their annual Defensive Tactics Training. <br />All licensed Officer will have firearms training today, for both rifle and pistol. <br />Significant Cases: <br />Over the Holiday weekend the Officers had several significant cases including: <br />• One assault case with the victim suffering a broken jaw and broken rib, <br />a DWI arrest as well. <br />• Attempted theft of a boat & trailer, resulting in felony theft charges <br />charges. <br />• Three different DWI arrests. <br />• Cases resulting in two forfeited vehicles. <br />Respectfully Submitted, <br />ti— <br />Jerry Braam <br />Chief of Police <br />this incident resulted in <br />as well as felony drug <br />
