Flaq Displav Donation Ms. Bittner stated the City received a check, from an anonymous donor, through the Chicago Community Foundation in the amount of$11,899.32 for maintenance on the flag display. 6. U.S. Armed Services Flaq Displav Donation Ms. Bittner stated in addition to the original fla� display, the original donor has agreed to grant additional funds to cover the�:5,,Armed Services flag display around the Veteran's Memorial in Trailside;�ark. Ms. Bittner asked for a recommendation to the City Council to ��rove the,grant dollars. � � � CHAIR RONNING MOVED TO APPROVE `�f C�'tAl�� DOLLARS FOR THE U.S. ARMED SERVICES FLAG DISPLAY. C�1�11IISSIONER JOHNSON SECONDED THE MOTION. MOTION CARRIED '�=4. 7. Next Meetinq Chair Ronning asked the commission for attend�nce for the March 12, 2020 meeting. Severa� of"tia� commission wbuld not be�able to attend so the meeting date was char��ed to Tu�:�day, March 17, 2020. 8. Other Business�� Chair Ronning updat��he Commission on the Veteran's Memorial pathway. The path will be upd�t�d and�e�#ended to 17.5 ft. from the center of the Paul Bunyan Trail but not up to the trail. Chair Ronning stated members of the City Council will be attending the Park meeting on March 17 to see the splash pad presentation from Jeff Corniea with Commercial Recreation Specialists. Chair Ronning spoke about the lighting of the American flag in the Trailside Park display. Discussion ensued regarding up facing lights versus down facing lights. 9. Adiournment There being no further business, COMISSIONER SJOBLAD MOVED TO ADJOURN THE MEETING. COMISSIONER MELBY SECONDED THE MOTION. THE MOTION CARRIED 7-0.
