I.-,
11-*_.
Notes:
➢ Preserve Golf Course Environmental Advisory Committee — The
annual meeting was held Friday, May 1 at the Preserve Golf Course.
This is the 15"' year of monitoring the golf course's wells, fairways,
greens, wetlands and woods for phosphorus. The goal of this
monitoring is to prevent runoff and ground water intrusion while
maintaining healthy grasses with minimal usage of chemicals. The
test summaries illustrate the stabilization of soil and water chemistry
after a decade of declining phosphorus.
Phosphorus spiking did occur last summer on 2 greens. This spiking
occurred after rains and it was decided to collect rainwater and dust to
test for phosphorus concentrations. Air borne phosphorus could
literally be fertilizing the golf course.
➢ Wellhead Protection Team — The Wellhead Protection Team met
and reviewed the draft Report for the Department of Health. This
report will be presented to the City Council at the July Council
meeting.
➢ Vacation — Dawn was on vacation May 21 — 29.
Completed May 19, 2009
FA
