As an owner of a potentially dangerous dog you must have a microchip implanted in the dog for identification within 14 days of the receipt of this notice. Proof of microchip implant must be provided to the Pequot Lakes Police Department and should include the name of the microchip manufacturer and identification number of t11e microchip. Please note that once a dog has been defined as a potentially dangerous dog, and the owner has been notified as such, and the dog subsequently aggressively bites, attacks, or endangers the safety of humans or domestic animals, it may be classified as a Dangerous Dog.
