The State may make the code mandatory for all cities, If we would not adopt and <br />the state would mandate, the administration would be handled by the County with no <br />local input. The City would benefit to have our involvement and not have the County do <br />the administration. <br />Mr. Mealhouse stated that without the building code, FEMA replacement would only be <br />what you had prior to the destruction; replacement would not meet the building code. <br />There is no threshold requiring adoption.
