Solar energ�vstems must meet the following height requirements: <br /> A. Roof-mounted solar energy sti�stems shall not exceed the maximum height <br /> allowed in the zoning district in which it is located. <br /> B. Ground-mounted solar ener�v svstems shall not exceed 2o feet in height when <br /> oriented at maximum tilt. <br /> 2. Location and Setbacks. Solar ener�ystems must meet the accessorv structure <br /> setback for the zoning district on which the s. s�m is located. <br /> A. Roof-mounted Solar Ener�vstems. In addition to the building setback, the <br /> collector surface and mounting devices for roof-mounted solar ener�Xstems <br /> shall not e�rtend bevond the e�erior perimeter of the buildin�on which the <br /> svstem is mounted or built unless the collector and mounting svstem has <br /> been explicitiv engineered to safel��e�end bevond the ed�e, and setback <br /> standards are not��iolated. Exterior piping for solar hot water svstems shall <br /> be allowed to e�ctend beyond the perimeter of the building on a side, a�rd <br /> exposure. <br /> B. Ground-mounted Solar Ener�vstems — Ground-mounted solar ener�v <br /> �stems mav onlx be allowed on parcels five acres in size and greater and mav <br /> not extend into the side-,yard or rear setback when oriented at minimum <br /> design tilt. <br /> 3. Visibility Solar ener�sti�stems shall be desi�ned to blend into the architecture of <br /> the building or be screened from routine view from adjacent pro�erties and the <br /> public ri�ht-of-ways other than alleys. <br /> 4. Decommissioning plan. A decommissionin�plan mav be required for large solar <br /> energy systems to ensure that facilities are pro�erl�removed after their useful <br /> life. Decommissionin� of solar�anels must occur in the event thev are not in use <br /> for twelve (i2) consecutive months. The..plan shall include provisions for removal <br /> of all structures and_foundations, restoration of soil and vegetation and a plan <br /> describin� the financial resources that will be available to fullv decommission the <br />
