Pequat Lakes Police Monthly Report <br /> December 2019: During the month of December (1St-315Y),the Pequot Lakes Police Department <br /> has a record of 250 calls for service. Call types include but are not limited to: <br /> • Alarm <br /> • Civil Problem <br /> • Disturbance <br /> • Driving Complaint <br /> • Found Property <br /> • Intoxicated Person <br /> • Noise Complaint <br /> • Suspicious Activity <br /> • Theft <br /> • Threats <br /> • Welfare Check <br /> Notable Calls: <br /> On 12/22/19, Officer Jorgens conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for speeding, loud exhaust <br /> and obstructed rear license plate. When speaking with the female driver, she admitted to not <br /> having current insurance on the vehicle. Officer Jorgens also detected the scent of marijuana. <br /> Upon a search of the vehicle, Officer Jorgens located a small amount of marijuana, a glass meth <br /> pipe and two small baggies containing meth. The female was subsequently arrested for felony <br /> 5th degree possession and misdemeanor no insurance. The vehicle was impounded by Turner <br /> Towing. <br /> On 12/28/19, Officer Matt Jorgens was working a TZD shift in Brainerd when he conducted a <br /> traffic stop on a vehicle for a headlight out. The male driver stated he did not have a driver's <br /> license, proof of insurance or a title for the vehicle. While speaking with Officer Jorgens,the <br /> male appeared visibly nervous and was showing signs of recent drug use.The female passenger <br /> had an odor of alcohol on her breath while speaking with Officer Jorgens. When he asked her to <br /> step out of the vehicle, he observed an open bottle of liquor on the floorboards. Baxter Police <br /> Officer Halverson arrived to assist Officer lorgens with a search of the vehicle, which resulted in <br /> the finding of baggies of ineth and marijuana, hypodermic needles and other drug <br /> paraphernalia. The female was arrested for felony 5th degree possession and the male was <br /> arrested for misdemeanor DWI. <br />
