AGENDA ITEM #3.6
cry of
Pequot
Lakes - -_
REPORT TO CITY COUNCIL
Report Prepared by: Nancy Malecha
Date: February 4, 2020
Subject: Crow Wing Energized Workplace Wellness Grant
Report: Recently, the City's Wellness Committee submitted a grant
application to Crow Wing Energized for the creation of a serenity room and point-
of-decision prompts at City Hall. We recently received notification that the City
was awarded this grant in the amount of$500.
The serenity room will give employees a space to decompress when encountering
stressful situations and can also be utilized as a lactation room. This room would
be located on the second floor of City Hall in a currently vacant office space.
The point-of-decision prompts will provide signage at City Hall with positive
reinforcements for using the stairs, parking farther away, and creating internal and
external walking maps for use during breaks.
Council Action Requested: Council motion accepting the Crow Wing Energized
Workplace Wellness Grant in the amount of$500 for the creation of a serenity
room and point-of-decision prompts at City Hall.
