Pequot Lakes Police Dept. <br />Report to the City Council <br />March 31, 2009 <br />For the month of March the Department logged 485 individual ICRs. <br />Current Activities: <br />The Reserves, Part time and Full time Officers conducted more than 465 individual security checks of <br />businesses and homes throughout the month, with 3 open doors found at area businesses. <br />The Reserve Officers have continued to assist with crowd control and safety at the High School during <br />the winter sporting events, including both girls and boys basketball. They will also assist with the <br />upcoming Prom activities out at the Breezy Point Resort on Saturday, April 4tn <br />Four of our Reserve Officers were able to attend the annual MN Police Reserve Officer Association <br />Conference and Training this past weekend. <br />Officer Petersen has organized a mach crash presentation for the students of Pequot Lakes High <br />School to be presented on Friday, April 3`d — before the Prom activities. Collaborating on the <br />�. presentation are, Pequot Lakes Fire Dept, Officer Gartner, North Ambulance, Zone III 1St Responders, <br />Brenny Funeral Services and if available North Air Care flight services. <br />Training: <br />Mar 14 & 15: Officer Gartner attended EMT Refresher training / certification. <br />Mar 22: Officer Gartner and K9 Officer Shadow attended USPCA certification. <br />Respectfully Submitted, <br />Jerry Braam <br />Chief of Police <br />
