AGENDA ITEM #7.2 <br /> c�� of <br /> Pequot <br /> Lakes ! -_ <br /> REPORT TO CITY COUNCIL <br /> Report Prepared by: Pequot Lakes Fire Department <br /> Date: December 3, 2019 <br /> Subiect: Keep the Wreath Red Project <br /> Report: The Pequot Lakes Fire Department will be participating in the "Keep <br /> the Wreath Red" Project. With this Project, participating fire departments display <br /> a holiday wreath, large enough to be seen by passersby or vehicle traffic, and <br /> decorated in all red holiday lights. The wreath is put up at Thanksgiving and taken <br /> down in January. Whenever the Fire Department receives a call, they replace one <br /> of the red bulbs with a white bulb. This Project is a way to help maintain holiday <br /> safety with the presence of this visible reminder of calls. Also, we will work with <br /> the local press to inform the public of the significance of this wreath which will be <br /> located by the fire bell at City Hall. <br /> Council Action Requested: No Council action requested. <br />
