City Council Memo <br /> South Oak Street Project <br /> Page 2 of 3 <br /> -------------------------------- <br /> • Removing existing pavement <br /> • Relocating the School's ball fields (and associated <br /> improvements) to the east <br /> • Grading roadside ditches <br /> • Constructing an infiltration basin along the School's <br /> property to handle City and School drainage <br /> • Constructing a gravel off-street parking lot along the <br /> School's southern boundary to replace on-street <br /> parking <br /> • Constructing storm sewer pipe and control structures <br /> for storm drainage in the area of the infiltration basin <br /> • Constructing a new 22-foot wide bituminous paved <br /> roadway <br /> • Restoring disturbed areas with seed <br /> The project bid will consist of a North Section subtotal and <br /> a South Section subtotal with a note that the City intends to <br /> award the entire project, but depending on State budget <br /> cuts, the City may only be able to award one Section. <br /> Bids <br /> If authorized by the Council, the City will place an <br /> advertisement for bids in the official paper and the <br /> Construction Bulletin for improvements to South Oak <br /> Street from about West Lake Street to about Pillsbury <br /> Street based on the approved plans and specifications <br /> prepared by the City Engineer, Widseth Smith Nolting. <br /> �- Bids will be received by the City at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, <br />
