Pequot Lakes Police Department
Memo :
DATE: February 26, 2009
TO: Sandy Peine
Jerry Braam
FROM: Janet Wedan, Office Manager
At the February Council meeting the City Council approved a Joint Siren
Maintenance agreement, which was written to include the City of Pequot Lakes,
City of Breezy Point and ISD 186.
Since that time the School District has withdrawn its support for assisting with the
costs for installation and maintenance of the new siren that will be installed this
spring at the Elementary School location.
Chief Braam was able to solicit enough funds from some local businesses to cover
the purchase and installation costs originally budget for the School District.
Chief Braam has also been working with the Public Works Director from the City of
Breezy Point and both have agreed that the two cities will take care of the
maintenance of the siren, without the School Districts assistance.
Enclosed is a new Siren Joint Maintenance Agreement that will need to replace the
original approved back in February.
Thank you for your assistance with this project.
