Pequot Lakes Police Dept. <br /> Report to the City Council <br /> January 28, 2009 <br /> So far for the month of January the Department has logged more than 380 individual ICRs. <br /> Current Activities: <br /> The Reserves, Part time and Full time Officers have conducted more than 300 individual security <br /> checks of businesses and homes so far throughout the month, with zero open doors found. <br /> Reserve Officers, Jarosh and Wedan assisted with security and crowd control at the annual Jaycee's <br /> Ice Fishing Extravaganza. <br /> Training Opportunities: <br /> Jan 21 stβ€”23`d: Officer Petersen attended the annual Juvenile Officers training / conference in <br /> Duluth. This training is geared especially for School Resource Officers. <br /> Jan 24/25 & Chief Braam, Officers Ryan, Nangle and Petersen are attending 1St Responder <br /> Feb 7/8: Training that our Dept is hosting for area law enforcement. <br /> Feb 3β€”5: Officer Melberg will attend Intoxilyzer Certification training at the BCA. This will <br /> allow the Dept to have a second officer that will be available to operate the <br /> intoxilyzer located at the Breezy Point PD, saving the Dept on the number of trips <br /> to Brainerd. <br /> Feb 10β€” 12: Office Mgr Wedan will attend her final training with the BCA for the state criminal <br /> reporting systems and records databases she is required to work with. <br /> Misc. Case Information: <br /> While on patrol with the Dept snowmobile, Officer Gartner recently recovered a stolen snowmobile that <br /> had been abandoned on the Paul Bunyan Trail. The sled had been stolen from Breezy Point, during the <br /> Ice Fest activities.
