Ciry of <br /> Pequot <br /> Lakes=-- <br /> OLD BUSINESS—DISCUSSION <br /> Topic: Heart of the Good Life — Zoning Standards <br /> Agenda Item: � (b) <br /> Background Information: The following have been suggested as potential <br /> names for this specific zoning classification: <br /> • Public Benefit District <br /> • Community Gateway District <br /> • Highway Commercial District <br /> Please come prepared to offer additional suggestions and to discuss the above. <br /> The suggested changes by the City Attorney, Economic Development Commission <br /> (EDC) and the Planning Commission have been incorporated into the zoning <br /> standards. The EDC suggested using "Athletic Facility" rather than "Athletic <br /> Fields) in order to not limit potential uses or development. Screening standards <br /> regarding dumpsters and ground level mechanical equipment are new and <br /> indicated in red. <br /> Sectionl'7-5.16 (ftf� ���nul�r,t� l�l�f�� 1�1�i!i�i� l�; i� ;; �_�) <br /> 1. Purpose and Intent: To support and facilitate public or private <br /> development of this area by creating recreational, commercial and <br /> industrial opportunities to enhance the value and quality of life within our <br /> community. <br /> 2. Compatibility: The Heart of the Good Life zone is established on an 85 <br /> acre parcel located in the City of Pequot Lakes adjacent to four-lane <br /> Highway 371 and the Paul Bunyan State Trail. <br /> 3.
