The follo�ti�ing are notes prepared <br /> bv Dawn Bittner. <br /> Present: Park Commission Members Johnson, Melby and Sjoblad; Nancy Malecha, City <br /> Administrator; Jason Gorr, Public Works Director; Katie Wassermann, Pequot Lakes <br /> Chamber and Bean Hole Committee; Cindy Hidde, Bean Hole Committee Co-Chair; and <br /> Dawn Bittner,Zoning Specialist. <br /> Bean Hole Pit: <br /> • Suggested 6' chain link fence with some type of screening, such as decorative art, <br /> mural, Bobber signs, railroad history and/or Bean Hole Days history; <br /> • Access to pit is only concern of Bean Hole Committee; <br /> • Jason stated removable sections of fencing that could be pulled out with loader; <br /> sections would be removed from site until replaced day after Bean Hole Days; <br /> • Cindy stated whatever is used to cover the pit area needs to be heat proof as the <br /> cover is placed over the bean pots while they cook; <br /> • Jason will provide the design and cost estimate. <br /> Community Sign: <br /> • New location will be decided once the flag display is installed; <br /> • The crab apple trees along Patriat Avenue may need to be removed to provide <br /> visual access to passing motorists to sign. <br /> Christmas Holiday Decorations: <br /> • Katie has a plan for the Chamber building and south end of Trailside Park; 42" <br /> wreaths, solar lights, strings of lights on roofline of building and on fences; <br /> • Trees to decorate with lights on north side of Trailside Park: spruce tree <br /> northeast of bank shell; band shell; spruce tree between flag display and band <br /> shell; candy canes on light poles discussed, poles not sturdy enough to hold <br /> decorations, use of tri-pod bases discussed; gift boxes, stars, candy canes could be <br /> built inexpensively; make the back of the band shell the focal point for <br /> decorations; lights on the 2 bushes at front of band shell;backs of the 2 benches <br /> along the walking path south of the Veterans Memorial; tree north of the <br /> Veterans Memorial;bench south of picnic shelter; 3 sides of picnic shelter <br /> roofline; candy canes on picnic shelter posts; lighted garland along playground <br /> fence; <br /> • Dawn will provide a map of the above locations. <br /> i <br />
