City Council Minutes <br />February 3, 2009 <br />Page 10 of 11 <br />1%_1 ----------------------- - - - - -- <br />Mike Loven noted that the City has been audited by OSHA. Mike Loven <br />reviewed the citations received by OSHA. Mike noted that we need to pay <br />the $1,960 fine before the Council meeting in March. <br />MAYOR ADAMS MOVED TO PAY THE OSHA FINE, TO BE <br />ALOCATED TO AFFECTED DEPARTMENTS AND THAT A LETTER IS <br />SENT TO REQUEST THE MONEY TO BE RETURNED FOR A SAFETY <br />PROGRAM. COUNCIL MEMBER NAGEL SECONDED THE MOTION. <br />MOTION CARRIED 5 -0. <br />10.A.1. Request to Sell Truck <br />Mike Loven requested authorization to sell the Ford F150 pickup which <br />was previously used by the water department. He indicated with one <br />employee there is no need for the truck. <br />COUNCIL MEMBER RYAN MOVED TO SELL THE F150 PICKUP <br />TRUCK AND THAT THE REVENUE RECEIVED FROM THE SALE BE <br />DEPOSITED IN THE WATER AND SEWER FUNDS USING A 50/50 <br />SPLIT. COUNCIL MEMBER SJOBLAD SECONDED THE MOTION. <br />MOTION CARRIED 5 -0. <br />10.13. Street Department Monthly Report <br />Report received by Council. <br />10.6.1. North Front Street <br />Mike Loven reviewed the staff report. He noted that all residents in the <br />area have been contacted. He stated that he is aware of only one resident <br />who had a complaint about closing the entrance. <br />COUNCIL MEMBER MALECHA MOVED TO REQUEST MNDOT TO <br />CLOSE THE ENTRANCE TO HWY 371 AT NORTH FRONT STREET. <br />COUNCIL MEMBER NAGEL SECONDED THE MOTION. MOTION <br />CARRIED 5 -0. <br />12. City Engineer <br />12.1. Proposal for Engineering Services for South Oak Street Improvements <br />Tim Houle presented the engineering proposal for the South Oak Street <br />Improvements and West Lake Street to Miller Street.
