AGENDA ITEM #9.4
cy of
Pequot
Lakes!_
REPORT TO CITY COUNCIL
Report Prepared by: Jason Gorr—Public Works Director
Date: May 7, 2019
Subiect: Road Improvement Plan & Financial Analysis
Re ort: The Road Improvement Plan is underway and the past survey is being
examined, verified, and modified as needed. This included quite a few points of
comparison such as pavement condition, attractors, average daily traffic use, multi-
modal use, safety, estimated costs to improve, traffic counts, road maintenance
analysis, and other existing or proposed infrastructure needs to consider.
As you could imagine there is a lot of data to verify and input, but this is all
conducted in a way that allows for objective analysis of all possible responsibilities
of the Public Works Department. We have also solicited the help of MnDOT staff
who will provide us some volumetric counters in mid-May to allow us to better
quantify actual traffic usage on designated locations and timelines.
We hope to present this information to the Council at the June City Council
Meeting.
Council Action Requested: No Council action requested.
