ORDINANCE NO. 10 -_, SECOND SERIES <br />`-' AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 3, ARTICLE 7, OF THE CITY CODE <br />RELATING TO PLANNING AND ZONING BOARD MEMBERSHIP <br />CITY OF PEQUOT LAKES <br />COUNTY OF CROW WING <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br />The City Council of the City of Pequot Lakes does ordain as follows: <br />Purpose and Intent. The purpose and intent of this ordinance amendment is to amend <br />Chapter 3, Article 7, of the Pequot Lakes City Code relating to Planning and Zoning <br />Board Membership within the City of Pequot Lakes. <br />Amendment. Chapter 3, Article 7, shall be amended as follows: <br />Section 3 -7.1. PLANNING AND ZONING MEMBERS <br />The Planning Commission shall consist of no less than seven (7) members who are <br />residents or landowners of the City and appointed by the City Council for terms of three <br />years. All terms shall end on " December 12; however, commissioners shall hold <br />office until their successors have been appointed. A vacancy shall be filled by the City <br />Council for the remainder of the term. The members of the Planning Commission, by a <br />�. majority vote, shall elect one of the appointed commissioners at the first meeting of the <br />year to serve as chair. <br />Effective Date. This ordinance amendment shall be in full force and effect from and <br />after passage and publication according to state law. <br />Repeal.
