It's the safest and most efficient plan for safe travel through the Pequot area while still providing the small town feel to downtown Pequot. The City will not only survive, but will thrive; it'll always be a destination for travelers. 38. Renee Anderson — 31264 Eastwood Drive, Pequot Lakes The recent election results to me show a mandate for the highway to bypass Pequot Lakes. 39. Lavone J. Sullilvan — 31200 N. Oak St., Pequot Lakes, MN I would like to see the by -pass route for our City. 40. Brenda L. Myers — 4893 Tree Farm Road, Pequot Lakes, MN In regards to the by -pass route: The MN Horse Park Committee was considering the former Craft Mall Property on the corner of County Road 107 and 68 off Highway 371. With the division of the property planned in the bypass of Highway 371, this location is no longer feasible and for all practical purposes is deemed by this group as useless for development. We are concerned about the lack of consideration given to the environmental impact on managed productive forests, pastures, and training grounds. In our woodland stewardship plan, created for us with the help of the Pequot Lakes District Forestry Office in 1993, we set goals to maintain the land in a productive forest while using the area for raising and training horses as well as heritage breeds of turkeys. In the EIS Study on file with the Pequot Lakes City Hall, I find no mention of the environmental impact on privately owned lands. This disturbs our family as it does not take into account or consideration the tragic impact the bypass route has on wildlife and forests that cannot be replaced. 41. Bill Habein — 4143 C.R. 16, Pequot Lakes, MN My main reason for wanting the around town route is: less expense to the taxpayers of the City and safety. 42. Shirlev Bentlev — 27509 Ctv Rd 107, Peauot Lakes, MN ''*N I think the plan presented on the wall today should be the one approved. We do not want to lose our nice park in town used for so many activities, and do not want to deal with 4 -land traffic when we come to shop in town and go to school activities. Pequot can be a destination town. --�
