SPECIAL MEETING OF THE PEQUOT LAKES CITY COUNCIL <br />�. TUESDAY NOVEMBER 16, 2010 <br />PEQUOT LAKES HIGH SCHOOL CAFETERIA <br />HIGHWAY 371 MUNICIPAL CONSENT PUBLIC HEARING <br />Members Present: Mayor Adams, Council Members Malecha, Nagel, Sjoblad, <br />and Ryan <br />Staff Present: Sandra Peine, City Clerk; Nancy Malecha, Finance <br />Administrator; Dawn Bittner, Zoning Administrator; <br />Jeanyne Alderson, Office Assistant; Tim Houle and Mike <br />Rude, City Engineers <br />Also Present: Members of the Planning Commission; MnDOT officials <br />Call Meeting to Order <br />Mayor Adams called the special meeting of the Pequot Lakes City Council to <br />order at 4:00 p.m. <br />Mayor Adams explained that the purpose of the meeting was to receive public <br />comment on the final layout of the Highway 371 by -pass route submitted by <br />MnDOT. <br />Mayor Adams opened the public hearing at 4:00 p.m. <br />The public hearing format was an open house. There were two complete maps <br />showing the proposed final layout of Highway 371 available for public review. <br />Those attending were encouraged to sign in at a registration table, review the <br />map, talk to City Staff, MnDOT staff, and Council or Planning Commission <br />Members regarding the proposed route. The public was also encouraged to <br />leave comments either by written form or through a court reporter that was <br />available at the meeting. <br />Mayor Adams closed the public hearing at 8:00 p.m. <br />The Mayor thanked all who attended and informed those present that the <br />Council would review all comments prior to acting on the request for <br />municipal consent at the December 14, 2010, Special Council meeting. <br />COUNCIL MEMBER SJOBLAD MOVED TO ADJOURN THE <br />MEETING. COUNCIL MEMBER NAGEL SECONDED THE MOTION. <br />MOTION CARRIED 5 -0. <br />
