Heart of the Good Life Development <br /> <br />a. Video Review <br /> <br />Brady Bussler and Ashley Martel with W idseth Smith Nolting presented <br />the draft of the Heart of the Good Life Development video. Commission <br />consensus was the video accomplished what the City was looking for by <br />showing a vision of what the development could have to offer. A <br />suggestion was made to add contact information at the end of the video <br />and put links to the video on several websites. <br /> <br /> b. Shovel Ready Certification Update <br /> <br />Tim Houle stated the materials have been submitted to DEED for <br />approval and they will continue to work through the process. <br /> <br />c. Architectural, Landscaping, and Zoning Recommendations from <br />Planning Commission <br /> <br />Dawn Bittner stated the Planning Commission liked the design as <br />presented with the option for modifications. Ms. Bittner added that they <br />want to allow a broad range of businesses in the development and would <br />like to further discuss the zoning classification for the area . <br /> <br />Sheila Haverkamp suggested the group could further review the zoning <br />options at the December meeting. <br /> <br />Commissioner Lindholm shared information regarding a Region 5 <br />Children’s Museum which was spearheaded by Sourcewell adding that <br />Sourcewell has now committed to funding an executive director to launch <br />the museum. Commissioner Lindholm stated he had met with this <br />gentleman yesterday and suggested that Pequot Lakes has a lot to offer <br />for the location of a Children’s Museum. <br /> <br />Sheila Haverkamp added that she has a meeting with him today and will <br />also mention it to him. <br /> <br /> d. Recommendation on Price Per Acre <br /> <br />Tim Houle presented an approximate cost of $50,000 per acre for the <br />infrastructure cost.
