Today, BLADC has three staff
members with an annual budget of approximately $283,000. BLADC services include:
• Business Retention and Expansion Programs
• Assistance with Site Location
• Financial Structure and Package Programs
• Technical and Business Planning Assistance
• Assistance with Government Resources and Processes
• Coordination of Community Deve!opr'?'ien`. !nitiatives
• Targeted Marketing Efforts to Attract Business
The organization efforts have included coordinating and facilitating more than 340 projects that have
resulted in $300 million dollars in capital investments and more than 3,600 jobs. As you know, BLADC's
success is due to governmental units working in partnership with private business toward a brighter
economic future for our area.
Recognizing that you are at the stage of considering your 2011 budget, we respectfully request that you
continue your support. Due to the financial challenges being faced by our local units of government and
our desire to be part of the solution, we are proposing a 5% reduction in our request from $7,075 to
$6,750. ($6,150 for BLADC operations + $600 for 2020 Marketing Programs = $6,750.)
124 North Sixth Street
Brainerd, MN 56401
218- 828 -0096
