CITY OF PEQUOT LAKES <br /> � RESOLUTION 18-26 <br /> RESOLUTION REGARDING OUTLOT A, BRANCHES REAL ESTATE ACQUISITION <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Pequot Lakes (the "City") has been contacted by Crow Wing <br /> County regarding the sale of Outlot A, Branches ("Outlot A")to the City; and <br /> WHEREAS, Outlot A has been forfeited to the State of Minnesota for failure to pay real <br /> estate taxes; and <br /> WHEREAS, the City has reviewed said acquisition of Outlot A and it is in the best <br /> interest of the City to acquire Outlot A for access to the Paul Bunyan Trail; and <br /> WHEREAS, acquisition of Outlot A has no relationship to the City's Comprehensive <br /> Plan; and <br /> WHEREAS, the City has determined it is in the City's best interest to acquire Outlot A <br /> pursuant to the following terms and conditions; and <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF PEQUOT <br /> � LAKES, MINNESOTA: <br /> 1. The City is authorized to acquire Outlot A, Branches at a cost of$2,500.00, in <br /> addition to all usual and customary expenses associated with closing the <br /> transaction with the County of Crow Wing and State of Minnesota. <br /> 2. The Mayor and City Administrator are authorized to execute all documents <br /> necessary to close the transaction. <br /> 3. The acquisition of Outlot A, Branches does not have a direct relationship to the <br /> City's Comprehensive Plan therefore Planning Commission review is not <br /> necessary. <br /> Adopted by the City Council this 2"d day of October, 2018. <br /> Nancy A.
