Park Commission Minutes <br /> October 11,2018 <br /> Page 2 .-� <br /> ------------------------- <br /> Ms. Malecha explained what the Capital Improvement Plan is, why items need to <br /> be budgeted on the plan and how to get items included within the plan. Ms. <br /> Malecha suggested the Park Commission come up with a list of what they would <br /> like to happen in all parks, improvements, etc. and prioritize the list to allow time <br /> and budgeting of these items. Chair Ronning asked the commission to come up <br /> with ideas and keep this item on the agenda for future meetings. Ms. Malecha <br /> went over the current 2018 budget and 2019 preliminary budget with the <br /> Commission. Chair Ronning would like the Commission to review the budget on <br /> a quarterly basis. <br /> -,��. <br /> 7. Holidav Decorations � <br /> ~���t�� <br /> Commissioner Johnson met Lance Ray with P,ubliG,Works�to:see what lights we <br /> had in stock for decorating Trailside Park. Cofmrxtissioner Johfizsan said there is <br /> �-��,, <br /> an issue with where the lights can be plugged into power. The po1�-on the north <br /> side of the park does not have electrical;if funds are available pos�,ibl�hiring an <br /> electrician to see what the problem is with.that pole�. Mr. Ray and C�mmissioner <br /> Johnson thought of some different ideas fo�#he lights bringing more color into the <br /> park. Discussion ensued for possibly renting the lift for finro (2)days and <br /> purchase more lights. Ms. Bittnec,will print off a map with a diagram as to how --� <br /> and which lights were hung where„:=�:. ;=:�.,, <br /> �'�� � <br /> Chair Ronning brought up the Sar�ta's Bob�in';into Tqwn arade. America Walks Grant <br /> Ms. Bittner stated that Crow Wing Energized contacted the City to let us know <br /> this Grant was available to communities who would like to improve the walkability <br />, within their communities.
