City Council Minutes <br />November 9, 2010 <br />Page 7 of 9 <br />-------------------- - - - - -- <br />11.4. Council Salary <br />The Clerk noted that at the October Council meeting the Mayor <br />suggested cutting the Council salary by $25.00 per month. She <br />stated because of State Statute, the earliest a pay change could <br />take affect would be January 2013. <br />MAYOR ADAMS MOVED TO REDUCE THE COUNCIL WAGE BY <br />$25 EFFECTIVE JANUARY 2013. COUNCIL MEMBER NAGEL <br />SECONDED THE MOTION. <br />Council Member Nagel stated that it may not be appropriate to <br />reduce the Council salary by $25 and not take affect until 2013 as <br />we do not know the impact a $25 cut would have in two years. <br />Council Member Malecha suggested that each Council Member <br />donate a $25 check to the City on a monthly basis. <br />MOTION FAILED 2 -3. COUNCIL MEMBER RYAN AND MAYOR <br />ADAMS VOTED AYE. COUNCIL MEMBER NAGEL, COUNCIL <br />MEMBER SJOBLAD, AND COUNCIL MEMBER MALECHA <br />VOTED NAY. <br />M <br />Nancy Malecha informed the Council that the $25 per month cut will <br />have to be added back to the budget and the budget numbers will <br />change. <br />11.5A. Redemption of CD — Lakes State Bank <br />COUNCIL MEMBER MALECHA MOVED TO REDEEM CD <br />#20696 IN THE AMOUNT OF 10,976.40. COUNCIL MEMBER <br />NAGEL SECONDED THE MOTION. MOTION CARRIED 5 -0. <br />11.5B. Consider Bids for Library Shelving <br />COUNCIL MEMBER MALECHA MOVED TO ACCEPT THE BID <br />OF $6,160 FROM RONALD NELSON FOR SHELVING AND BINS <br />FOR THE CHILDREN'S ROOM IN THE LIBRARY. COUNCIL <br />MEMBER NAGEL SECONDED THE MOTION. MOTION <br />CARRIED 5 -0. <br />11.5C.Authorize Payment of Loans <br />
