��Q� <br /> ������ <br /> �.��� <br /> COUNCII,REPORT <br /> Topic: League of Minnesota Cities — Land Use Incentive <br /> Background Information: Land Use claims account for approximately i9% <br /> of all liability claims paid in the League of Minnesota Cities Insurance Trust <br /> (LMCIT). The Land Use Incentive program reward Property/Casualty program <br /> member cities that successfully complete online training about land use. <br /> Qualifying member cities earn a savings of as much as $3,75o per land use claim. <br /> Cities that do not meet the training requirements will pay a greater rate for each <br /> land use claim. <br /> Several individuals took this training in 20�5. The following people will need <br /> complete the online course: <br /> • One more Council member; <br /> • Planning Commission Chair; <br /> • One more Planning Commission member. <br /> The Course takes only about 45 minutes to complete. Zoning Specialist Bittner <br /> will register participants for the course and it can be completed at home on your <br /> personal computer. The registration fee will be paid by the City. <br /> Council Member Seils participated in this training in 2oi5 while on the Planning <br /> Commission and the League recognizes this as completed training. Chair Hallan <br /> and Planning Commission Member Larson will participate in this training. Staff <br /> believes this would be an educational opportunity for Mayor Tayloe and requests <br /> he volunteer to complete this course. <br /> Council Report 1 <br /> February 5,2oi9 <br />
