City of
.
Pequott
Lakes—
1%..
AGENDA ITEM #9.1
REPORT TO
CITY COUNCIL
Date: October 5, 2010
Subject: Marshall Street
Report: There has been an ongoing water erosion problem
Marshall Street. The City has continuously worked with the
property owners and one of the affected property owners is
unwilling to agree to the City's solution. The solution to the
problem is to pave Marshall Street and install a catch basin with an
outlet which would divert the water to a natural infiltration area.
The City received two quotes for the project. The company who
submitted the lowest quote withdrew and indicated they did not
want to do the project. Anderson Brothers submitted a quote of
$21,463.75 which was $1,400 less than the low quote.
At the last Council meeting the Council directed staff to review
this matter with the City Attorney to see if the City could move
forward without requiring a drainage easement. Attached is an e-
mail from Paul Sandelin. His advice is to proceed with the
improvements.
