MEETING OF THE PEQUOT LAKES CITY COUNCIL <br />TUESDAY SEPTEMBER 28, 2010 <br />PEQUOT LAKES CITY HALL <br />Members Present: Mayor Adams, Council Members Malecha, Nagel, Sjoblad, <br />and Ryan <br />Staff Present: Sandra Peine, City Clerk; Jerry Braam <br />Also Present: Paul Sandelin, City Attorney; Pam VanderWiel, City <br />Attorney <br />Call Meeting to Order <br />Mayor Adams called the meeting of the Pequot Lakes City Council to order at <br />3:00 p.m. <br />Pledge of Allegiance <br />Mayor Adams led with the Pledge of Allegiance. <br />Mayor Adams noted that the purpose of this meeting is to engage in <br />preliminary consideration of allegations or charges of misconduct against a <br />city employee. <br />The City's Attorney stated that the employee's lawyer requested the meeting to be closed. <br />COUNCIL MEMBER SJOBLAD MOVED TO CLOSE THE OPEN <br />MEETING PURSUANT TO MINNESOTA STATUTE SECTION 13D.05, <br />SUBDIVISION 2B. COUNCIL MEMBER NAGEL SECONDED THE <br />MOTION. MOTION CARRIED 5 -0. <br />Mayor Adams opened the closed meeting of the City Council. <br />COUNCIL MEMBER NAGEL MOVED TO CLOSE THE CLOSED <br />MEETING. COUNCIL MEMBER MALECHA SECONDED THE <br />MOTION. MOTION CARRIED 5 -0. <br />COUNCIL MEMBER MALECHA MOVED TO OPEN THE COUNCIL <br />MEETING. COUNCIL MEMBER SJOBLAD SECONDED THE <br />MOTION. MOTION CARRIED 5 -0. <br />
