SPECIAL MEETING OF THE PEQUOT LAKES CITY COUNCIL <br /> WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 14, 2018 <br /> PEQUOT LAKES CITY HALL <br /> Members Present: Mayor Adams, Council Members Akerson, Loukota, <br /> Pederson, and Swanson <br /> Staff Present: Nancy Malecha, City Administrator; Chad Turcotte, Police <br /> Sergeant; Tom Nelson, Fire Chief; Jason Gorr, Public Works <br /> Director; Lance Ray, Maintenance Worker; and Tim Houle, <br /> City Engineer <br /> 1. Call Meetina to Order <br /> Mayor Adams called the special meeting of the Pequot Lakes City Council <br /> to order at 5:30 p.m. <br /> 1.1 Pledqe of Alleaiance <br /> Mayor Adams led with the Pledge of Allegiance. <br /> 2. Consider A�enda <br /> COUNCIL MEMBER AKERSON MOVED TO APPROVE THE AGENDA <br /> AS PRESENTED. COUNCIL MEMBER LOUKOTA SECONDED THE <br /> MOTION. MOTION CARRIED 5-0. <br /> 3. 2019 Preliminarv Budqet Work Session <br /> Nancy Malecha explained that at the October 2"d City Council Meeting, the <br /> Council was asked to submit proposed changes to the 2019 Preliminary <br /> Budget for further discussion and these proposed changes are listed <br /> below. <br /> Tax Lew Funds: <br /> a. Remove or re-define the Street and Utility Improvements Project. <br /> COUNCIL MEMBER AKERSON MOVED TO REMOVE THE STREET <br /> AND UTILITY IMPROVEMENTS PROJECT FROM THE 2019 <br /> PRELIMINARY BUDGET. COUNCIL MEMBER PEDERSON <br /> SECONDED THE MOTION. <br /> Mayor Adams stated that she would like this Project re-defined as <br /> Sibley Street needs storm sewer, Govemment Drive needs widening, <br />
