PEQUOT LAKES PARK COMMISSION THURSDAY, OCTOBER 11 2018 CITY HALL Members Present: Chair Ronning, Commissioners Bryan, Johnson, Jurchen, and Sjoblad Members Absent: Commissioners Melby and Nagel Also Present: Dawn Bittner, Zoning Specialist; Nancy Malecha, City Administrator 1. Call Meetina to Order Chair Ronning called the meeting to order at 5:00 p.m. 2. Consider Apenda COMMISSIONER SJOBLAD MOVED TO APPROVE THE AGENDA. COMMISSIONER JOHNSON SECONDED THE MOTION. THE MOTION CARRIED 5-0. 3. Park Commission Minutes COMMISSIONER JOHNSON MOVED TO APPROVE THE SEPTEMBER 13, 2018 PARK COMMISSION MINUTES. COMMISSIONER SJOBLAD SECONDED THE MOTION. MOTION CARRIED 5-0. 4. Outdoor Recreation Survev Update Molly Zins presented an update on the Quality of Life Taskforce (Hike, Bike, Ski committee) regarding a survey to ascertain how and how often the Pequot Lakes residents engage in outdoor recreation, identify unmet outdoor recreational needs, and explore relationships between demographics and information in outdoor recreational needs. Discussion ensued as to how to get the information about the survey out to the public as well as how to get the actual survey out to residents and the benefits of the survey to the community and Park Commission as a whole. The survey will be emailed to the Park Commission to analyze the questions. � 5. LED Camera Pricinq Commissioner Melby was looking into pricing for the camera, however, he is not , at the meeting today so this will be postponed until next month. Chair Ronning explained to Ms. Malecha the idea for putting cameras in Sibley Lake Park for surveillance. Ms. Malecha suggested bringing in the Police Department for these � types of conversations because they may have suggestions on which cameras to � use, where to place, etc. I I � �I
