Pequot Lakes Police IVlonthly Report <br /> September 2018: During the month of September(1n-29th),the Pequot Lakes Police <br /> Department has a record of 294 calls for service. Call types include but are not limited to: <br /> • 911 Hangup <br /> • Alarm <br /> • Assault <br /> • Civil Problem <br /> • EMS <br /> • Fire <br /> • Fraud <br /> � Intoxicated Person <br /> • Motorist Assist <br /> • Property Damage Accident <br /> • Suspicious Activity/Vehicle � <br /> • Theft <br /> • Welfare Check <br /> Notable Calls: <br /> On 9/7/18, Officer Kate Petersen was off duty and driving home when she came upon a crash <br /> on Co Rd 11. Several other agencies quickly came to assist. It was determined that a motorcycle � <br /> struck a turning truck.The driver of the motorcycle was pronounced dead at the scene. Officer ! <br /> Petersen and OfFicer Matt Jorgens, as well as the rest of the department,were commended for �I <br /> their efforts by the family and friends of the deceased. � <br /> On 9/14/18, part time Officer Steve Emerson was on routine patrol when he stopped at the A- <br /> Pine gas station in Jenkins. He made contact with a vehicle in the parking lot and determine � <br /> probable cause to search. Officer Emerson located narcotics and paraphernalia in the search. <br /> The driver and two passengers were arrested.The car and approximately$2,000 are pending <br /> forfeiture. <br />
