City Council Minutes September 4, 2018 Page 6 of 9 ----------------------------- THE COUNCIL ACKNOWLEDGED THE RESIGNATION OF MIKE LOVEN. 9.2.A Request to Bec�in Hiring Process—Job Description Revision COUNCIL MEMBER AKERSON MOVED TO APPROVE THE REVISED JOB DESCRIPTION FOR THE PUBLIC WORKS DIRECTOR POSITION, THE CHANGE FROM A NON-EXEMPT POSITION TO AN EXEMPT POSITION IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE FAIR LABOR STANDARDS ACT AND THE SALARY RANGE AS PRESENTED. COUNCIL MEMBER SWANSON SECONDED THE MOTION. Council Member Swanson stated the Personnel Committee worked with David Drown Associates to revise the job description for the Public Works Director position. MOTION CARRIED 5-0 'I 9.2.B Request to Beqin Hiring Process— Hiring Assistance Services &Timeline II Mayor Adams explained the City had received a quote from David Drown j Associates for assistance with the hiring process for the Public Works Director in the amount of$3,000 adding that Sourcewell will cover half of the cost. � MAYOR ADAMS MOVED TO APPROVE THE HIRING ASSISTANCE QUOTE FROM DAVID DROWN ASSOCIATES FOR THE PUBLIC WORKS DIRECTOR POSITION IN THE AMOUNT OF $3,000. $1,500 WILL BE PAID BY SOURCEWELL AND $1,500 WILL BE PAID FROM THE GENERAL FUND-ROADS AND STREETS DEPARTMENT. COUNCIL MEMBER AKERSON SECONDED THE MOTION. MOTION CARRIED 5-0. Tim Houle noted that he had a discussion with Nancy Malecha and let her know that due to Mike Loven's retirement, Widseth Smith Nolting is willing to assist the City through the transition at no charge. 9.3. Maintenance Facilitv Proiect Pavment Certificate#5 Tim Houle presented the application and payment certificate request#5 from Boser Construction in the amount of$94,996.19. COUNCIL MEMBER AKERSON MOVED TO APPROVE THE APPLICATION AND PAYMENT CERTIFICATE #5 FROM BOSER
