City Council Minutes <br /> September 4, 2018 <br /> Page 6 of 9 <br /> ----------------------------- <br /> THE COUNCIL ACKNOWLEDGED THE RESIGNATION OF MIKE <br /> LOVEN. <br /> 9.2.A Request to Bec�in Hiring Process—Job Description Revision <br /> COUNCIL MEMBER AKERSON MOVED TO APPROVE THE REVISED <br /> JOB DESCRIPTION FOR THE PUBLIC WORKS DIRECTOR POSITION, <br /> THE CHANGE FROM A NON-EXEMPT POSITION TO AN EXEMPT <br /> POSITION IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE FAIR LABOR STANDARDS <br /> ACT AND THE SALARY RANGE AS PRESENTED. COUNCIL <br /> MEMBER SWANSON SECONDED THE MOTION. <br /> Council Member Swanson stated the Personnel Committee worked with <br /> David Drown Associates to revise the job description for the Public Works <br /> Director position. <br /> MOTION CARRIED 5-0 'I <br /> 9.2.B Request to Beqin Hiring Process— Hiring Assistance Services &Timeline II <br /> Mayor Adams explained the City had received a quote from David Drown j <br /> Associates for assistance with the hiring process for the Public Works <br /> Director in the amount of$3,000 adding that Sourcewell will cover half of <br /> the cost. <br /> � <br /> MAYOR ADAMS MOVED TO APPROVE THE HIRING ASSISTANCE <br /> QUOTE FROM DAVID DROWN ASSOCIATES FOR THE PUBLIC <br /> WORKS DIRECTOR POSITION IN THE AMOUNT OF $3,000. $1,500 <br /> WILL BE PAID BY SOURCEWELL AND $1,500 WILL BE PAID FROM <br /> THE GENERAL FUND-ROADS AND STREETS DEPARTMENT. <br /> COUNCIL MEMBER AKERSON SECONDED THE MOTION. MOTION <br /> CARRIED 5-0. <br /> Tim Houle noted that he had a discussion with Nancy Malecha and let her <br /> know that due to Mike Loven's retirement, Widseth Smith Nolting is willing <br /> to assist the City through the transition at no charge. <br /> 9.3. Maintenance Facilitv Proiect Pavment Certificate#5 <br /> Tim Houle presented the application and payment certificate request#5 <br /> from Boser Construction in the amount of$94,996.19. <br /> COUNCIL MEMBER AKERSON MOVED TO APPROVE THE <br /> APPLICATION AND PAYMENT CERTIFICATE #5 FROM BOSER <br />
