AGENDA ITEM #10.4
C1►Of
Pequot
Lakes= -
REPORT TO CITY COUNCIL
Report Prepared by: Nancy Adams & Melissa Birch
Date: October 2, 2018
Subiect: Facilitator for Library's Strategic Planning Process
Re ort: For the past eight months, the Pequot Lakes Community Library has
been going through a self-evaluation process in accordance with the American
Library Association's guidelines. As part of this strategic planning process, eight
meetings will be held with participants from the community. A professional
facilitator is highly recommended to lead these meetings. With assistance and a
recommendation from Sourcewell (formerly NJPA), Abdo, Eick & Meyers
Financial Solutions has been selected to provide facilitation services at a total cost
of$11,500 of which Sourcewell will pay for 50%. Because this is a non-budgeted
expenditure, the Library is requesting Council approval of this request to be paid
from the Library's fund balance.
Council Action Requested: Council motion approving the strategic planning
facilitation services with Abdo Eick & Meyers Financial Solutions in the amount
of$11,500 of which 50%to be paid by Sourcewell and the remaining 50% to be
paid from the Library Fund.
