Resolution # <br />0q <br />Resolution Adopting a Joint Powers Agreement for <br />Implementation of the e- Charging program <br />City of Pequot Lakes, County of Crow Wing <br />and State of Minnesota <br />WHEREAS; the State of Minnesota, acting through its Department of Public Safety, Bureau of <br />Criminal Apprehension, has a service that provides communication and work flow tools for law <br />enforcement, prosecutors and the courts known as e- Charging; and, <br />WHEREAS; under Minnesota Statute Section § 471.59 Subd. 10 the State is empowered to <br />engage such assistance as deemed necessary in the performance of its operations; and, <br />WHEREAS; the City of Pequot Lakes is desirous of participating in the e- Charging program and <br />in order to do so must enter into a Joint Powers Agreement with the State of Minnesota for this <br />purpose. <br />NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City of Pequot Lakes hereby enters into a Joint <br />Powers Agreement with the State of Minnesota, Department of Public Safety, Bureau of <br />Criminal Apprehension for e- Charging. The Police Chief is hereby authorized to execute the <br />necessary documents for this purpose. <br />Mayor <br />Attest: <br />City Clerk <br />Dated <br />Dated <br />
