City of <br />Peq ot <br />Lakes— <br />Outside Water Meter Payment Plan <br />Policy <br />Effective: July 6, 2010 (If adopted by Council) <br />PURPOSE: <br />• Allow customers to purchase a 2nd meter for outside use and make payments for <br />the meter. <br />• Policy applies to residential and commercial customers. <br />• Customers will be allowed a maximum of 6- months to pay for the meter. <br />• Customer is responsible for paying a plumber to install the meter. <br />Example: Most common residential size meter is a 5/8" <br />$123.00 — Meter <br />$124.00 — MXU <br />$247.00 — TOTAL divided by 6 months = $41.16 per month <br />PROCEDURE: <br />• Customer contacts City Hall to request a second outside meter. <br />• Billing Department creates a work order requesting the Public Works Department <br />to contact the customer to determine the size of meter needed. <br />• Public Works Department delivers the meter to the customer and has customer <br />sign the "Outside Water Meter Payment Plan Agreement" form. *See Attached. <br />• Public Works Department returns work order and agreement form to the Billing <br />Department <br />%%., • Billing Department sets up the payment plan in the billing system. <br />s /sandy doc/utility billing- CIVIC /policies /outside meter payment plan <br />
