Paintinq of White Water Tower I�' Nancy Malecha stated recently the City has received several suggestions I to paint the white water tower to resemble the bobber water tower due to the fact that it is now more visible from State Highway 371. Ms. Malecha presented the finro quotes that were received and included a breakdown of , the costs. Ms. Malecha explained the white water tower was scheduled to be power washed this year but was not expected to be repainted for five years. Ms. Malecha suggested accepting the quote from KLM , Engineering for$61,871 for power washing and painting the water tower to resemble a red and white bobber with no tube at the top. Ms. Malecha added this project would be funded by the Water Fund for$51,778, the ' General Fund-Economic Development department for$3,500 and the Bobber Water Tower Fund for$6,593. COUNCIL MEMBER AKERSON MOVED TO ACCEPT THE QUOTE , FROM KLM ENGINEERING INC. IN THE AMOUNT OF $61,871 FOR , THE POWER WASHING AND PAINTING OF THE CITY'S WHITE ' WATER TOWER TO RESEMBLE A RED AND WHITE BOBBER TO BE PAID FROM THE WATER, GENERAL AND BOBBER WATER TOWER FUNDS AS PRESENTED. MAYOR ADAMS SECONDED THE MOTION. Council discussion ensued regarding whether the white water tower 'I should be painted now and should it resemble a bobber. Mike Loven confirmed it needs to be power washed this year but does not need to be painted for another five years. MOTION CARRIED 3-2. COUNCIL MEMBER PEDERSON AND SWANSON OPPOSED. ' 9.3. Maintenance Facilitv Proiect Pavment Certificate #4 Tim Houle presented the application and payment certificate request#4 from Boser Construction. COUNCIL MEMBER AKERSON MOVED TO APPROVE THE APPLICATION AND PAYMENT CERTIFICATE #4 FROM BOSER CONSTRUCTION INC. FOR AN AMOUNT OF $180,840.76. COUNCIL MEMBER SWANSON SECONDED THE MOTION. MOTION CARRIED 5-0.
