Pequot Lakes Police Mor�thly 14eport <br /> Julv 2018: During the month of July(1�-31rt),the Pequot Lakes Police Department has a record <br /> of 412 calls for service. Call types include but are not limited to: <br /> • 911 Hangup <br /> • Alarm <br /> • Animal Complaint <br /> • Civil Problem <br /> • Driving Complaint <br /> • Drug Information <br /> • Fireworks <br /> • Intoxicated Person <br /> • Theft <br /> Notable Calls: <br /> On 7/6/18, OfFicer Ryan Franz was alerted by radio that there was a driving complaint <br /> northbound on Hwy 371 from Nisswa. Officer Franz located the vehicle and conducted a trafFic <br /> stop. Upon making contact with the driver, he observed multiple signs of impairment.A PBT <br /> (preliminary breath test) showed results of three times the legal limit.The driver was arrested <br /> for gross misdemeanor 2"d degree DWi.The vehicle is pending forFeiture. <br /> On 7/21/18, OfFicer Steven Emerson conducted a trafFic stop on a vehicle for an equipment <br /> violation. While speaking to the driver, OfFicer Emerson noted that the driver appeared <br /> extremely nervous. OfFicer Emerson observed drug paraphernalia in plain view inside the <br /> vehicle,which gave him probable cause to search the vehicle. Sgt. Chad Turcotte and OfFicer <br /> Ryan Franz arrived to assist. Inside the vehicle,officers located marijuana, marijuana wax, pills <br /> and cash. On his person,the driver had a pipe and bag of inethamphetamine crystals.The male <br /> was arrested for felony 5th degree drug possession. The vehicle and cash are pending forFeiture. <br />
