Pequot Lakes Police Mor�thly 14eport Julv 2018: During the month of July(1�-31rt),the Pequot Lakes Police Department has a record of 412 calls for service. Call types include but are not limited to: • 911 Hangup • Alarm • Animal Complaint • Civil Problem • Driving Complaint • Drug Information • Fireworks • Intoxicated Person • Theft Notable Calls: On 7/6/18, OfFicer Ryan Franz was alerted by radio that there was a driving complaint northbound on Hwy 371 from Nisswa. Officer Franz located the vehicle and conducted a trafFic stop. Upon making contact with the driver, he observed multiple signs of impairment.A PBT (preliminary breath test) showed results of three times the legal limit.The driver was arrested for gross misdemeanor 2"d degree DWi.The vehicle is pending forFeiture. On 7/21/18, OfFicer Steven Emerson conducted a trafFic stop on a vehicle for an equipment violation. While speaking to the driver, OfFicer Emerson noted that the driver appeared extremely nervous. OfFicer Emerson observed drug paraphernalia in plain view inside the vehicle,which gave him probable cause to search the vehicle. Sgt. Chad Turcotte and OfFicer Ryan Franz arrived to assist. Inside the vehicle,officers located marijuana, marijuana wax, pills and cash. On his person,the driver had a pipe and bag of inethamphetamine crystals.The male was arrested for felony 5th degree drug possession. The vehicle and cash are pending forFeiture.
