Monday,August 27,2018
Pequot Lakes Fire Department
Attention Fire Chief Nelson
4638 County Rd 11
Pequot Lakes, MN 56472
Dear members,
This letter is to inform you of my retirement from the Pequot Lakes Fire Department as of September
5t".The past 20 years has been an honor and a privilege to serve this community.
I have had the support of my wife and family for the past 20 years and I would have not been able to do
this without them. We have raised our children around red fire trucks and spent many times at the Fire
Hall. It means so much and we will never forget all the memories we have made with this fire
department.
Chief Nelson, you are a great leader and an excellent listener. I would always need to make sure I have
20 minutes for our phone conversations.Chief Rickard,we have fought many fires together, one
memory is myself and you running across 371 from The Butcher Block during lunch to respond to a
structure fire.Thank you for being my mentor and a great leader as well. Now please eat some damn
green beans. Mr.Oaks, you might not know this but you were also my mentor.Your calm demeanor,
patience and soft voice will be missed.
So with great happiness and sadness I am moving on.The past 20 years I have served with dozens of fire
fighters on this department and loved every minute of it. All of you thank you for your support and
kindness.
Best regards,
Jeremie Bridge
n
