When
asked by Mr. Brown, Mr. Burslie stated screening with vegetation or a fence.
Mr. Brown asked how often the equipment needs to be moved so it isn't Fterior
Storage. Mr. Burslie stated that is not the issue we need to deal with.
Mr. Brown stated the pontoon and most items will fit in the pole barn, but the trailers
and camper will not fit;they are too high.
Planning Commission Member Norton asked if Mr. Brown were to park one truck and
one trailer overnight and drive them to work the next day,if that would be considered
Fcterior Storage. Mr. Burslie state he did not believe that would be considered Exterior
Storage, but if it sits there for days at a time, then it would.
Mr. Brown stated he would place the F.xterior Storage on his properry with the dwelling
and put the truck and trailer and other truck and dump trailer on the other lot.
Planning Commission Member Birch inquired if the City would want to look at
somehow allowing uses on a secondary lot that are allowed on the principle lot. Mr.
Burslie stated the Planning Commission can look at that if that is something you want in
your community.
Mr. Brown asked what he would need to do to get a permit to build a pole barn should
he choose to pay off the property. Mr. Burslie stated he could build a pole barn with
living quarters with a well a septic.
Mr. Brown asked how many days of being parked is considered F.xterior Storage. He
was told there is no magic number, but if the trucks and trailers are being moved in and
out every other day, that is not Exterior Storage.
