MONTHLY STAFF REPORT <br />City Clerk's Office <br />June, 2010 <br />Meetings <br />City Council Meetings <br />June 8th, Council Actions <br />• Proclamation proclaiming Pequot Lakes Chokecherry Capitol of Minnesota <br />• Adopted ordinance amendment relating to digital signs <br />• Adopted ordinance amendment relating to large resort overlay zone <br />• Adopted resolution authorizing installation of stop sign at North Lilac Street and <br />Pillsbury Street <br />• Approved the purchase of a continuous bond to cover the City while working in <br />MnDOT right -of -way <br />• Accepted low bid for West Lake Street project in the amount of $149,233.43 <br />• Reduced the SuperValu Bond to 10% of the project cost <br />• Contributed $2,000 toward the band shell construction <br />• Renewed liquor licenses <br />• Renewed tobacco licenses <br />• Called a special Council meeting for August 17th to review preliminary 2011 <br />budgets <br />Meetings <br />Park Commission <br />June 10th Meeting .... (Minutes are attached) The Park Commission reviewed the 2011 <br />proposed park budget. The Commission heard a presentation from the Chamber on a <br />bicycle friendly community. <br />Economic Development Commission <br />June 15th Meeting .... (Minutes are attached). The EDC once again spent the majority of <br />the meeting discussing the economic development section of the Comp Plan. Chuck <br />Marohn addressed the EDC and explained why the reference to the business subsidies <br />was not removed from the Comp Plan as requested by the EDC. The EDC once again <br />stated that they would like to see the Planning Commission remove reference to business <br />subsidies in the comp plan. <br />The EDC also discussed the business subsidy policy. The EDC will continue to review <br />this policy. <br />Justin Bolz - Andolshek submitted his resignation from the EDC. <br />
