Advertise Construction Project <br /> Tim Houle presented the process for advertising for public bids for the , <br /> Roadway and Utility Improvements Project to begin after Labor Day with i <br /> � <br /> bid opening on Friday, August 3, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. i <br /> COUNCIL MEMBER SWANSON MOVED TO ADVERTISE FOR PUBLIC <br /> BIDS FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF ROADWAY AND UTILITY <br /> IMPROVEMENTS AS OUTLINED WITH BID OPENINGS TO OCCUR AT <br /> 10:00 AM ON AUGUST 3, 2018 AT PEQUOT LAKES CITY HALL. <br /> COUNCIL MEMBER LOUKOTA SECONDED THE MOTION. <br /> Council Member Akerson inquired if#he bids would include the removal of <br /> Patriot Avenue. Tim Houle stated that i#would include the proposed <br /> removal of Patriot Avenue this fall. Council Member Akerson indicated <br /> that he would like to slow things down and would like to figure out the ' <br /> damage that wil( incur when Patriot Avenue is removed. � <br /> � <br /> ON A ROLL CALL VOTE, COUNCIL MEMBER AKERSON — NAY; ; <br /> COUNCIL MEMBER LOUKOTA—AYE; COUNCIL MEMBER ; <br /> SWANSON —AYE; MAYOR ADAMS —AYE. Issue Payment to Minnesota Power <br /> i <br /> Tim Houle explained the estimate from Minnesota Power to bury most of j <br /> the overhead lines in Trailside Park would be $40,000 and Minnesota � <br /> Power has requested a prepayment so they can put it on their work � <br /> schedule. <br /> MAYOR ADAMS MOVED TO AUTHORIZE A $40,000 PAYMENT TO <br /> MINNESOTA POWER FOR THE BURYING OF OVERHEAD POWER <br /> LINES AS PART OF THE TRAILSIDE PARK MASTER PLAN PHASE I <br /> PROJECT TO BE PAID FROM THE CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT FUND. <br /> COUNCIL MEMBER SWANSON SECONDED THE MOTION. <br /> Council Member Akerson inquired if this was a firm price quote. Mr. Houle <br /> stated that Mike Loven talked with Minnesota Power regarding the quote. <br />
