Pequot Lakes Police Dept. <br />Report to the City Council <br />May 26th, 2010 <br />Currently for the month of May the Department has logged at least 439 individual ICRs. <br />Current Activities: <br />So far for the month, the Reserves and Fulltime Officers have conducted 606 individual security checks <br />of businesses and homes throughout the month, with 5 open doors found at area businesses. <br />Several Reserve Officers were recently awarded the 2009 Presidential Volunteer Award for the number <br />of hours of service they donated to the Department / City last year. <br />Gold Awards: Josh Berns, the Department as a Whole <br />Silver Award: Garrett Wedan, Mike Marotta <br />Bronze Awards: Carl Borleis, Tim Leagjeld, Amber Jarosh, <br />All of the new squads are now up and running. The last in -squad computer will be installed this week, <br />so the Reserve Officers and Part -time Officers will have their equipped unit to drive as well. <br />The whole department is gearing up for the busy summer season of traffic, events and additional <br />people in the area. The 4th of July is less than 6 weeks away! The Reserve Officers have a schedule <br />for the summer that is busting at the seams - see enclosed. <br />Significant Cases: <br />Officer Melberg had a recent DWI case that will result in the forfeiture of a 2009 Ford Fusion.
