AGENDA ITEM #9.2.B
city of
Pequot
Lakes— -
REPORT TO CITY COUNCIL
Report Prepared by: Tim Houle
Date: July 9, 2018
Subiect: Trailside Park Master Plan Project— Communication Toolbox
Report: In anticipation of construction this fall and in 2019 for Phase I of the
Trailside Park Master Plan Project, we have used a variety of communication and
public outreach tools on past projects. These vary from personal conversations,
newsletters, newspaper articles, website links, e-mail blasts, and the use of social
media. The Communication Manager could be utilized for this as well. The
Council will want to consider the following items.
• Does the Council want to pursue and invest in some level of communication
tools?
• Does the Council have a sense of the tools or amount of investment/budget
for this?
• If given some guidance, WSN can come back with a proposal of inethods
and a cost.
Council Action Requested: Council discussion on the communication toolbox
items to consider for the Trailside Park Master Plan Phase I Project and a potential
proposal of inethods from Widseth Smith Nolting.
