• Change"prior to European settlement"to"At one point"; • Today, "approximately half'of the land..."with deciduous and coniferous; • Should encourage use of native plants in landscaping and should be included in the Policy section; • The paragraph regarding Potlach land— some of that information could be included in the new History section; • Staff was directed to obtain language from the DNR regarding invasive species and the need to protect our lakes; • Light pollution should be addressed in the Air Quality section; first sentence, stop after tranquility; change second sentence to"As grawth and the number of people increase, air,light and noise pollution could become greater problems." Automobiles and recreational vehicles don't need to be discussed. Recreation Section: Public Natural areas and Playgrounds — • Fire Tower reference-leave the red-iined sentence in for now as there may be a decision regarding Crow Wing County by the time this Plan is finalized; • Trailside Park—remove the playground was "recently donated"; reword that a playground is available; • Dog Park— remove reference to young girl and donation of the fence; Private Facilities — • Strike entire section; Policies — • Remove policy to maintain private resorts, etc. • Expand language for the last three Action Items; • The bicycle trail between downtown and Breezy Point Resort, reword to maintain an open dialogue with the City of Breezy Point and Crow Wing County regarding a bicycle trail between the Paul Bunyan Trail and City of Breezy Point along CSAH 11; • Strike the Mid-term Action item regarding trail between downtown and Eagle View.
