City of Pequot Lakes <br /> Road Standards/Specification Guidelines <br /> Adopted: June 5,2018 <br /> All improvements of roads within City Right-of-Ways(ROWs),whether new roads or existing <br /> roads which undergo a significant reconstruction, shallbeplanned for and implemented by taking <br /> into account the following inputs. <br /> • The City's most current Comprehensive Plan. <br /> • The City's most current Downtown Plan. � <br /> • These Guidelines. <br /> • The Road Classifications Map. <br /> • The Priority Elements Matrix. <br /> • Typical Sections for different road classifications. <br /> • The input of the Public Works Departrnent on maintenance, condition, and <br /> budget parameters. <br /> • A review by the Council, Staff, Planning Commission, City Engineer, and other <br /> appropriate parties. <br /> It is acknowledged that a"one size fits all"approach, while desired for the sake of uniformity of <br /> expectation for users, consistency, and efficiencies is desirable, will most likely not be able to be ', <br /> achieved everywhere due to unique terrain or other factors. ' <br /> All type of transportation users should be considered when planning improvements,whether in <br /> that specific corridor or segment, or elsewhere in the transportation system (e.g. we do not want �, <br /> bicyclists on a freeway,but we should look at what corridor or segment bicyclists should be ' <br /> accommodated). <br />
