MINUTES <br /> PEQUOT LAKES PLANNING COMMISSION/ <br /> BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT <br /> REGULAR MEETING <br /> MAY i�, 2oi8 <br /> PRESENT: Mark Hallan (Chair), Douglas Leckband, Nathan Norton, Brian Wallin <br /> (Vice-Chair) -and Wesley Wilson. ABSENT: Andrew Birch <br /> CITY PLANNER: Justin Burslie, NJPA <br /> ZONING SPECIALIST: Dawn Bittner <br /> COUNCIL LIAISON: Absent <br /> Chair Hallan called the meeting to order at 6:0o PM. <br /> COMPREHENSIVE PLAN UPDATE— <br /> Natural Resources Section <br /> Mr. Burslie read the Policies. Zoning Specialist Bittner stated she is not receiving input <br /> from the commissions and committee members. This is the City's Plan and Staff needs <br /> input to make the revisions. The following comments should be addressed by Staff <br /> when malang revisions. <br /> • Acreage owned by Potlatch should be less; update. <br /> • Population growth, revise as not rapid. <br /> • Water resources, add invasive species and protect our lakes. Keep in the Action <br /> Items and reword to continue to work with other agencies. <br /> • The aggressive language can be soften or removed. Too many adjectives; remove <br /> and stick to facts. <br /> • The paragraph before Policies refers to visual pollution;the highway has been <br /> rerouted and this should be removed. <br /> • Implement the SSTS monitoring program; Planning Commission directed Staff to <br /> continue to require Compliance Inspections on trust transfers. <br /> • Strike the Previously Completed Actions. <br /> Recreation Section <br /> • Add Mayo Lake Preserve with trails. <br /> MINUTES i <br /> Pequot Lakes Planning Commission <br /> May 1�, 2018 <br />
