SPECIAL MEETING OF THE PEQUOT LAKES CITY COUNCIL <br /> MONDAY, APRIL 23, 2018 <br /> COLE MEMORIAL BUILDING <br /> Members Present: Mayor Adams, Council Members Akerson, Loukota, <br /> Pederson, and Swanson <br /> Staff Present: Nancy Malecha, City Administrator; Deb Marty, City <br /> Clerk/Treasurer; Chad Turcotte, Police Sergeant; Tyler <br /> Glynn, BLAEDC <br /> 1. Call Meetinc� to Order <br /> Mayor Adams called the meeting of the Pequot Lakes City Council to <br /> order at 6:31 p.m. <br /> 1.1 PledQe of Alleqiance <br /> Mayor Adams led with the Pledge of Allegiance. <br /> 2. Moderator Presentation <br /> Tyler Glynn from the Brainerd Lakes Area Economic Development <br /> Corporation (BLAEDC) stated he will keep the meeting moving in the <br /> direction that has been laid out on the agenda. <br /> 3. Trailside Park Master Plan Proiect <br /> Nancy Malecha presented the Trailside Park Master Plan Project. Ms. <br /> Malecha gave an outline on the history of the project, dates of community <br /> input meetings that were held, the communication means used to inform <br /> the public, and the potential funding plan. Ms. Malecha reviewed the <br /> Trailside Park Master Plan map pointing out the proposed features. Ms. <br /> Malecha addressed questions from the public which included parking, <br /> safety, traffic concems, and initial and ongoing costs. <br /> 4. Mavor Adams Traffic Studv <br /> Mayor Adams presented the informal traffic study that she conducted with <br /> assistance from several volunteers. Public comments on the traffic study <br /> questioned the time of the year it was conducted and the lack of traffic <br /> analysis knowledge by the volunteers. <br /> 5. Open Forum <br /> � <br />
