I
received a notification but we Iost our staff person handling the award process and somehow Pequot Lake's
notification fell through the cracks. i did not follow up so it is my fault you did not get the results.
I v►rould like to thank of Pequot Lakes for ali its hard work on Source Water Protection. It was my great
pleasure to help the City apply for a Source Water Protection Award. It was a competitive field this year, and
Pequot Lakes not selected for the award, although it is clear that the city has worked hard to implemenfi
source water protection activities. We encourage you to continue collaborating with the city and to consider
submitting a nomination again in the future.
Your nomination highlights significant achievements in the Pequot Lakes community, including collaborating
with MNDOT and others on the Highway 371 expansion project, sealing wells in close proximityto its source of
supply, and monitoring tank placement of used motor oil.We appreciate Pequot Lakes'continued dedication
to source water protection.
The winner of this years'SWP Award was the city of Mankato.
