A motion was made by Planning Commission Member Norton, seconded by <br /> Planning Commission Member Wilson,to recommend the City Council <br /> amend the ordinance as presented. All members voted"aye". Motion <br /> carried. <br /> A motion was made by Planning Commission Member Wilson, seconded by <br /> Planning Commission Member Birch,to close the Public Hearings. All <br /> members voted"aye". Motion carried. <br /> ADDITIONS OR DELETIONS TO AGENDA: None. <br /> OPEN FORUM: <br /> Jonathan Yahn,West Twin Lake Association President,but is only spealang as a private <br /> citizen. He requested the Planning Commission address short-term rentals, such as <br /> VRBO's and similar rentals. The people who frequentl�rent their properties are <br /> changing the complexion of our quiet neighborhoods. He encouraged the Planning <br /> Commission to bolster the ordinance to make it practically enforceable. Four leases per <br /> year are allowed. As it is written it is hard to enforce. Chair Hallan stated he will review <br /> this with Staff to potentially include on an upcoming Agenda. <br /> NEW BUSINESS: <br /> a. Metes and Bounds Subdivision, Dale and Bonita Lindquist, applicants <br /> Mr. Burslie elcplained the Staff Report. Applica,nts were present. When asked, Mr. <br /> Lindquist stated he is in agreement with the lot consolidation. <br /> A motion was made by Planning Commission Member Wilson, seconded by <br /> Planning Commission Member Norton,to approve the Metes and Bounds <br /> Subdivision,subject to the following Findings of Fact: <br /> i. The subject property is zoned Downtown Mixed Use. <br /> 2. The lot widths of the proposed parcels both meet the minimum standard of 25 feet. <br /> 3. Both of the proposed parcels meet the minimum area requirements of the <br /> Downtown Mixed Use Zone. <br /> 4. The existing structure on "Tract A" meets all setback requirements. The existing <br /> structure on"Tract B" encroaches the rear yard setback. <br /> 5. The subject property is adjacent to municipal water and wastewater utilities. <br /> "Tract B" is served by municipal water and wastewater. "Tract A" is served by <br /> municipal water and wastewater and a private SSTS. <br /> 6. The property is suitable in its natural state for the intended purpose and this lot <br /> split would not be harmful to the health, safety,or welfare of future residents or of <br /> the community. <br /> �.
