Page 1 of 1 MEETING OF THE PEQUOT LAKES TCI STEERING COMMITTEE WEDNESDAY,APRIL 18,2018 PEQUOT LAKES CITY HALL Members Present: Mark Jurchen, Economy Task Force and Pequot Lakes Economic Development Commission;Chris Lindholm, Pequot Lakes Schools; Nancy Malecha,City of Pequot Lakes;Chris Monroe, Pequot Lakes Chamber;and Nancy Adams, Mayor Others Present: Theresa Bourke,Echo/Journal 1. Call Meetin�to Order The meeting was called to order at 3:00 p.m. 2. Steerin�Committee Dissolution The Steering Committee discussed the possibility of dissolving the Committee and incorporating it under the Greater Pequot Lakes Community Foundation. Discussion ensued regarding the role of the Foundation;the makeup of the Foundation's Advisory Board;the Foundation's mission,vision,and funding priorities; promoting the continuation of the TCI goals and objectives at the task force level;and the collaboration of task forces with comparable City or School boards and commissions. A consensus of the Steering Committee agreed to dissolve the Pequot Lakes TCI Steering Committee with the understanding that the great work can continue at the task force level in collaboration with comparable City or School boards and commissions with potential funding sources through the Greater Pequot Lakes Community Foundation. 3. Task Force Updates The Steering Committee reviewed the goals and projects of the task forces as defined through the TCI process and noted that many of these goals have been accomplished or are in the process. The Committee noted that these accomplishments should be celebrated and recognized. � 4. Communitv Celebration A consensus of the Steering Committee agreed to recognize the goals accomplished by the PL TCI with the Community Picnic on July 10th in Trailside Park. 5.
